The board also approved the formation of a capital fund drive to offset the cost of the Pole and to acquire other display items that Barbara might need to do a very special Flag Day Exhibit . That Flag pole is to be dedicated to all the men and women from all over the area who have served their countries armed forces over the years.. The dedication will take place next June 12th during the Flag Day Centennial. There will be a military band on hand that day along with the Liberty High school band and possibly the Shrine band to help with music for that dedication . A newly formed Singing group Led by Patricia Owens (Thurston), the Centennial singers will also participate The city of Fairfield from whom we lease the Museum site has given it’s approval of the flag pole installation .. Glenn Leitz is very eager to pursue more of the Interviews that we have on Audio Tape to try to build a library of historical sketches about early families of the Area.
