I would ask that all of you send us identified photos you took on Flag day or the day before or after.. We need to share them with the world.. This area is made up of such good people.. The whole thing from the opening of the reunion to the Amen at the end of Church on Sunday was One the greatest community events ever staged.. You all should be so proud of your cities.. The board also approved the formation of a capital fund drive to offset the cost of the Pole and to acquire other display items that Barbara might need to do a very special Flag Day Exhibit . That Flag pole is to be dedicated to all the men and women from all over the area who have served their countries armed forces over the years..

The dedication will take place next June 12th during the Flag Day Centennial. There will be a military band on hand that day along with the Liberty High school band and possibly the Shrine band to help with music for that dedication . A newly formed Singing group Led by Patricia Owens (Thurston), the Centennial singers will also participate The city of Fairfield from whom we lease the Museum site has given it’s approval of the flag pole installation ..
